For me, as a kid teasing was a common occurrence, especially at school, some nice and some not so nice (probably today boardering on bullying).
There was a saying that sticks in my mind - have you heard it?
"Sticks and stones will break your bones, but words will never hurt you".
.... I remember thinking, that's not true!
And from this experience, I now have more awareness of the "Power of our Spoken Word", I am more mindful of what I say, how I deliver it and my intentions and it's kinder!
This is what Yehuda Berg said.....
"Words are singularly the most powerful force available to humanity. We can choose to use this force constructively with words of encouragement, or destructively using words of despair. Words have energy and power with the ability to help, to heal, to hinder, to hurt, to harm, to humiliate and to humble."
Do you have "Word Awareness"?
